Messages and Notifications
The Activity tab on the Open Houses page brings together everything that's happened on your open houses. It has two sections, Notifications and Messages. The number on the Activity tab is your count of unread items.
Notifications
Reach sends you an in-app notification and an email when something happens that needs your attention:
| When | Who is notified |
|---|---|
| An agent requests to host your open house | Listing agent |
| You're invited to host | Invited agent |
| An invited agent accepts or declines | Listing agent |
| An invitation is withdrawn | Invited agent |
| You're confirmed as host | Host |
| Someone else was chosen | Agents whose request or invitation wasn't picked |
| A post is removed | Everyone who requested or was invited |
| A host is removed or hosting is cancelled | The other agent |
| The host asks to cancel, or withdraws that request | Listing agent |
| The listing agent approves a cancellation | Host |
| The host submits feedback | Listing agent |
| A new message arrives | The other agent |
Each notification has a button that takes you straight to the right place, such as View invitation, View request or View message.
Use Mark all as read or Delete all to tidy up the list.
Messages
Every confirmed open house has a private message thread between the listing agent and the host. The Messages section lists all your threads, with unread ones highlighted.
- Click a thread to open it, type your message and press Enter to send. Use Shift + Enter for a new line.
- You can also message from inside the open house itself, under My posts or Hosting.
- When the other agent writes to you, you'll get a notification, and the open house shows a New message badge in your lists.
Once an open house is completed or cancelled, its thread becomes read-only. You can still read the history, and there's a link back to the open house.
Listing agents: use messages for private details like lockbox or alarm codes. The Notes on a post can be read by every agent who can see it.
