Delegate an Item

If you are working with a team, sometimes you want to give temporary responsibility of an item to a team member. For example, you may want a team member to be responsible for a certain Lead or you want them to run a specific Listing Showing Event. In Reach, this is called "delegation".

At this time, Contacts, Leads, Listings, Transactions, Events, and Tasks can all be delegated.

tip

Delegated items that have been delegated to you show up in the "My" filter in the app banner. Delegated items that you own that have been delegated out can be shown in the "Delegated" filter in the app banner.

  1. Select the item you want to assign to a team member.
  2. Click the Edit button.
  3. Scroll down to Add Delegate and select your team member you want to assign the Lead to and click Select
  4. Click Save

You will see the initials of the delegated team member appear in the item's details indicating that the item has been delegated. Your team member may receive a notification that you have assigned them an item (based on their notification settings).

Adding a delegate will automatically provide read and update access for the individual item to the team member.
